[22. July - 16. August 2009] Bamberg Art- und Antique Weeks

Bamberg evolved gradually into a status symbol and a center for art and antiques trade of national and now international importance.

Within a radius of 500 meters below the Cathedral is the Bamberger antiques district. What the Bamberg art and antiques dealers provide is as high-quality exhibits on display. The traders aren't afraid of the comparison with the international art trade. There is a wide range of national and international art from five centuries offered. Main focus is the baroque period. The classic modern is represented with high-quality paintings by Gabriele Munter, August Macke and Alfons Walde. The bridge to the current 'Modernity' is created by Pinselartist Ralf Metzmacher with his retro-style. He combines the baroque idea of still life symbols with a new content and designs thereby a reflection of society today.

The status of world cultural heritage also obliges the artist to peak in the bids. However, not only to buy high-priced exhibits, there are also modern art on a small budget. For people with less money not less taste!

In their search for art objects, representatives of major international museums in the past have been regularly found these in Bamberg. The most recent example is the PAN kunstforum in Emmerich at the lower Rhein with artist Metzmacher. This year Metzmacher exhibit in the period from 22 July - 15 August 2010 in the Hainstr. 6, at Mr. Steven P. Carnarius Palais in 96047 Bamberg/Germany.
